Please Support Equity for Scholar-Athletes
Underserved kids continue to face too many barriers to high-quality education. For students of color, access to top schools can be transformational.
360 Academic Sports Academy opens the doors of opportunity, even as COVID-19 continues to push equity farther out of reach for too many great kids. But we can’t do any of this without the dollars to pay for coaches, tutors, equipment and facilities.
- Donations made possible our inaugural 360 Academic Sports Academy, a 6-week, full-day, in-person summer camp provided at no cost to 24 kids.
- We’ve achieved a 93% retention rate with 41 scholar-athletes and parents invested in our year-round high school preparatory program.
- Our writing, a book club, ELA and math test prep programs prepare 8th graders to compete with their peers for spots at some of the best schools in the country.
- Our baseball showcases this fall (at Suffield Academy in Connecticut and in Brooklyn) were attended by coaches from top boarding and day schools, Catholic and public high schools.
Fifteen of our scholar-athletes were placed at our nation’s top boarding schools last year. We also got kids committed to top colleges. Ryan Dunn will play basketball at the University of Virginia and Armani Guzman will play baseball at the University of West Virginia.
In 2022, we’ll recruit a new class of 25 new 7th graders, including girls baseball, softball and basketball players. Of course, we’ll also repeat our successful summer camp.
